Everyone always asks me how did i get started with my notary business / what made me decide to get into this field. So I thought, why not put it here & share with you all. Well, It all began when I started working at a private law firm as a personal assistant doing some paralegal work. I soon became a bonded notary, at the request of my employer because of the high need of documents notarized. With most of our clients being elderly or working normal 9-5 hours, I began meeting with clients outside of work hours for notary work. I even traveled to meet some clients, who then gave me a tip for traveling out. My employer at the time was perfectly aware and supportive of my small venture, & after family found out I was a notary word of mouth truly began to take off. I quickly created a unique name for my business, got cards made & was passing out business cards everywhere I went. The rest is history. I’m always learning new things about the industry, & I try to stay organized & follow the plan. Thanks for reading... hope this inspires someone to get started with their ideas. Feel free to let me know your comments/questions or how you made it official in business!

In Marketing
Social Media is obviously a major tool used in marketing in today’s world no matter what field you’re involved in. When creating your profiles be sure to take a few things into consideration. Is your business easy to find? Did you use the same name for each site or was it already taken? Consistency on each platform is a major key to brand fluency. Think about this before you attempt to file your business with the state. Are you using hashtags? Take a minute to search out relevant keywords or “hashtags” and add them to your posts. It’ll help get you found on search engines and drive more traffic to your sites. It’s always a good idea to search out hashtags that are super relevant to the topics you post about in advance, so plan it out. What does your business look like when you google search it? Does it represent your brand well? Is it visible for customers to find & contact you? Let me know your thoughts on this subject in the comments below!
